You may think that audience awarenessis only for speaking. That's where you are wrong. It is actually for reading and writing too! A good writer would know about audience awareness. I am quite hazy on that idea but if I am not wrong, I think it is letting the audience be aware of your idea.
Don't matter what it is, it is used to let you write better letters. It helps you convey your message more easily and that would help you get more marks for exam(not trying to examish). I would want to learn what is audience awareness.
Some examples are formality. We would start the letter with "Dear so and so" if you give it to a friend. if you are making a police report, you would start it with" RE:car accident"
